The monitoring station is within a self-contained air-conditioned housing located near the Information Centre in Chalkwell Park. The manifold is approximately 90 metres west of the nearest minor road, Chalkwell Road, and about 160 metres S from the nearest major road, A13 London Road. The surrounding area in the immediate vicinity of the site is open park with the wider area comprising predominantly of urban residential premises.
