The monitoring station is located within a self contained housing in the south east corner of Brooke Park approximately 1 kilometre from the city centre. The park is bounded on three sides by roadways that are periodically subject to congestion during peak traffic flow periods. The closest of these roads, is Infirmary Road, approximately 60 metres to the south-east of the station. There are mature trees within 10 metres distance.
