The Hambleton District Council (Bedale) Air Quality Management Order 2017 (Hambleton District Council)

01/11/2017, The AQMA covers an area at the junction of Bridge Street and Market Place in Bedale, North Yorkshire and has been declared due to an exceedance of the nitrogen dioxide annual mean. The junction is narrow and at the top of a hill and is surrounded by two storey buildings on either side of the road. Traffic often queues at the junction whilst waiting to turn onto the B6285 or B6268. The buildings surrounding the AQMA are predominantly commercial however there is a residential dwelling in the White Bear Hotel located at the junction and this is the nearest sensitive receptor.
