Latest forecast

Issued at 21/01/2017 1am

Today

Localised Moderate air pollution levels are possible near busy roads in urban centres, but elsewhere Low air pollution levels are expected.

Tomorrow

Localised Moderate air pollution levels are again possible near busy roads in urban centres, most likely across central and eastern England. Elsewhere, Low air pollution levels are expected.

Outlook

Localised Moderate or possibly isolated High air pollution is possible during this period near busy roads in urban centres, especially in parts of England on Monday and Tuesday. This is due to high pressure giving light winds and potentially foggy conditions. For most places however, Low air pollution levels are currently indicated. By Wednesday, the west and north of the UK are forecast to have increasing winds helping to mix the air here, with the risk of localised elevated air pollution levels becoming restricted to more eastern parts of England.
