A report has recently been published providing an update on implementation of the DAQI and setting out some minor changes to the DAQI to bring the thresholds in line with the EU Limit Values and UK Objectives.

Data providers and forecasters using the DAQI may wish to update their systems to reflect the changes. The trigger values have also been updated.

The new DAQI has been used for the UK Ambient Air Quality National Statistical Release published on April 25th.

Changes to the DAQI have not yet been operationally implemented here on UK-AIR. We will be modifying the website and database in the next two weeks to update both the latest data pages and for historical data downloads. Following the update all DAQI statistics on UK-AIR from 1st Jan 2012 onwards will be available based on the latest version of the DAQI.

A further note will be published here once the changes to UK-AIR are in place.
