Moderate levels of air pollution are expected across Britain today, while parts of East Anglia may potentially reach High Levels (primarily ozone). With southeasterly winds bringing in air from Continental Europe, there will be an east-west gradient in air pollution levels with Low pollution levels expected in Northern Ireland.

Moderate air pollution levels (primarily ozone) will be confined to eastern Britain as all other parts fall to Low levels, due to the source of air over the UK switching to a maritime influence with Atlantic air.

Air pollution is expected to reduce in the outlook period, with Moderate areas (primarily ozone) in parts of southern Britain on Friday and Saturday, joining the rest of the UK in Low air pollution levels by Sunday.
